About the Community

Connect has twenty years’ experience of providing a specialist service of high quality psychotherapy which supports clients to develop the emotional, psychological and practical resources to live independently of mental health services.

Connect is based in two interconnected Victorian houses in Moseley, Birmingham, near the city centre and within reach of many local amenities.

We use Transactional Analysis as our main theoretical framework and incorporate a range of therapeutic approaches within this.

Connect is a registered care home for adults, and statutory inspections are carried out by the Commission for Social Care Inspection.  We also participate in peer-reviews within the Community of Communities Framework, part of the research unit of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.  Connect is a member of the Association of Therapeutic Communities.
