| The project staff work closely with professionals from refering agencies, to do assessments, develop care plans, hold planning reviews and to monitor progress. The Directors have access to consultants, both official and unofficial, with specified expertise in the methods used, who visit regularly. All staff receive regular supervision both as individuals and as a team. This is both within the project and externally, as part of their training. There is a A steering Group consisting of a group of appropriately qualified individuals who have an interest in the work of the Therapeutic Community. The primary function is to provide an impartial overview of the referral and staff disciplinary process. The Community is a member of the Association of Therapeutic Communities (ATC) and most staff are members of the Institute of Transactional Analysis and adhere to its code of ethics. Connect Community is a member of "Community of Communities", a quality audit programme developed and managed by the Royal College of Psychiatrists in liaison with the ATC. |
