Our client group
 The type
of patients we work with typically include those with a diagnosis of
borderline or emotionally unstable personality disorder, bipolar
disorder or depressive disorders. It may also include those who have
been deemed difficult to treat, have complex needs or a dual diagnosis.
We accept patients both from services of higher security (low secure and
locked rehabilitation), to those not making suitable progress within
the community or currently based within acute services.
Key features of our client group:

A history of contact with mental health services.

Acute admissions or being held on section.

Other clients are living in the community but their needs exceed the resources available.

Most clients engage in some form of destructive behaviour, whether through direct self-harm, eating disorders, or substance misuse.

Clients usually have problems which stem from traumatic events and environments in childhood.

Clients usually have significant problems in relating successfully to others.
