The Staff Team

The Connect team is a committed, consistent and long standing team that have extensive training in working with challenging patients.

The Clinical Director of Connect is a Provisional Trainer and Supervisor of Transactional Analysis (TA), with a background in art therapy.  Other staff are qualified in a range of therapeutic modalities including TA, Dramatherapy, CBT, Gestalt, NLP and Hypnotherapy.  TA is used as the common language of the project and the clients themselves are empowered to learn this language and use it to set and achieve goals.

All staff have access to weekly internal supervision from the Clinical Director and monthly supervision from a consultant psychotherapist, in addition to other staff support groups.

Other welcome additions are the trainees and students (in social work, psychiatric or psychotherapy training) who come on placements and give feedback on their experiences.
